Creating a Simple Opt-in with WordPress

So, You’d Like to Create an Opt-In, eh?

There are a number of ways to easily create an opt-in box on a WordPress website. One of the most universal, easy, and (most importantly) free, methods that I’ve found is Method 1 below. I have included a second method that can work effectively, although I have much less experience using it so any feedback is very welcome.

Method 1

Install the plugins Contact Form 7 (CF7) and Really Simple CAPTCHA.

Build out a simple opt-in form using CF7. The form can now be placed within stylized boxes, pop-outs, or any number of locations on a webpage. Here is an example structure for a simple email capture form with no additional styling added to it:

Install the plugin Optin Forms and connect it to your account with one of the following Email Solutions:

As mentioned above, I haven’t personally tested this method out much but have received positive responses with using it. Examples to come as they’re available.
